Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday

On Monday, January 15, we will not have school, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. MLK Jr. is best known for his powerful speeches and organization of marches, advocating for civil rights and equality for all. He also received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964, and his promotion of non-violence still influences us today.

Peace is not merely a distant goal that we seek, but a means by which we arrive at that goal”  Martin Luther King Jr.
