President - Ken Morris
Background & Experience: Dr. Kenneth Morris is a Board Certified Pediatrician and Associate Medical Director at North County Health Services (NCHS) in North San Diego County. NCHS is a large Federally Qualified Health Center that caters to an underserved population with over 250,000 patient visits annually. In addition to having a busy clinical practice, Dr. Morris has been involved with various medical director endeavors over the past 18 years. These have included recruitment, retention and direction of all clinic staff, helping to achieve Joint Commission accreditation, helping to achieve Patient Centered Medical Home Level 3 Certification, selection and implementation of NCHS’ first electronic health record (EHR) and oversight of NCHS’ quality management program.
Dr. Morris has served on numerous non-profit boards; professional, philanthropic and community based. Dr. Morris and his wife, Meredith have a 4th grader who has been at Old Town Academy (OTA) since its inception. Dr. Morris served in the role of President for Old Town Academy’s Foundation during its inaugural 3 years and helped guide the Foundation to raise in excess of $400,000 at its first 3 Spring Gala fundraisers. In his free time, Dr. Morris enjoys mentoring students interested in medical careers as well as world traveling with his family. He is an avid saltwater fisherman and is always looking for an opportunity to sport fish the seven seas.
