We still have a few items to reconcile but after expenses, our 2019 “Nacho Average Gala” event and online auction raised approximately $107,000!
Thank you so much to everyone who attended the Gala, donated funds, bought items at the event or online, and donated their time. Thank you to our community of parents, friends, relatives, volunteers, donors, sponsors, bidders and all OTA teachers and staff. Thank you to our wonderful Gala committee for organizing such a fun event.
There is always a funding gap between what OTA’s programs cost and what we receive from the state. Your annual support at our Gala helps bridge that gap!
Every year, the Old Town Academy Parent Foundation supports OTA by donating funds raised at the Gala back to the school. The school uses the majority of the funds, usually about $70,000, to help with the general operating budget. Other funds are for specific programs, such as Music and Robotics. This year we raised funds to help with the operating budget and for flexible seating in classrooms and to invest in updated technology, such as new Chromebooks.
