Director of IT - Mark Burgess
Education: Mr. Burgess received his BA in Creative Writing with minors in Finance and Biology from the University of Arizona in Tucson and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of San Diego. He was the 188th certified Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute - over 600,000 PMPs exist today.
Experience: Mr. Burgess began his career in aerospace as an administrator for a technical publications department and opened his first company in 1987 with an AI subject-based bulletin board system, developing business operations software. He launched San Diego's third internet service provider in 1994 and was the original owner of several of San Diego's premiere web domains including sandiego.com, sandiego.org, san.org, kpbs,org and sdfair.com. He is the author of two programming language books: "Using Clarion Professional" and "Advanced Visual Basic" and has been a contributing editor to 7 national industry magazines.
