September 27th

We would love to have 100% participation this year! Participation was particularly low last year and we depend on these funds as our primary fall fundraiser. This event helps to fund a lot of awesome things at our school like field trips, art, music and robotics.

DRAWING CONTEST: The deadline to submit a drawing that will be featured on the Jog-a-thon T-shirts is tomorrow September 28th. Look for details in the Jog-a-thon Packet or click on the following link: 8th Annual JAT

Emergency Bags- In preparation for an emergency, OTA is collecting emergency bags for each student. Please start putting together a large plastic bag with: 1 or 2 water bottles, a snack (like a granola bar), and label the outside with your child’s name. These will stay in emergency bins in our classroom. I have already started collecting these and hope to have everyones by next week!

Week of 9/24/18

Almost one month into fourth grade! Here is what’s happening this week!

OTA’s annual Movie Night is Friday, September 28! Movie night is hosted by 6th grade parents, and a great way to connect with our OTA community. The movie this year is Wreck It Ralph. There will be a snack bar for treats, and please eat dinner before you arrive, or bring a picnic dinner. The gates will open at 6:00 p.m., and the movie will start at approximately 6:30 p.m.

Special Shout Out to Maria Anning for volunteering to be our fourth grade room parent! Also a thank you to Jayne and Andresa for also reaching out and volunteering.

Let me know if you have any questions about anything mentioned above. I look forward to another great week in fourth grade! 🙂

Below is what our schedule will look like for Quarter 1. If there is anything that is going to change or switch around, I will let you know.

This week we will be going over the rules and procedures of the fourth grade classroom as well as completing some getting know each other activities. I am hoping to give the students a taste of the curriculum starting Thursday.
