What’s an Enrichment Program?
An enrichment program is an after-school program that gives students the opportunity to further develop their skills, especially in subjects they’re interested in.
It’s important to understand that an enrichment program is not an after-school daycare. Each enrichment program is an extension of classroom learning that helps create well-rounded students.
Why Do Enrichment Programs Matter?
At Old Town Academy, we strive to develop students who become active thinkers and lifelong learners. To foster these qualities in our students, we encourage them to participate in activities beyond the classroom and book-based learning.
These activities—whether athletic, creative, or intellectual—provide invaluable personal and academic benefits for students that include:

However, the enrichment programs we offer instill the same core virtues and teaching methodologies that we practice during the school day, so they’re an excellent supplement to our classroom instruction.

If your student is interested in a subject or activity that’s not reflected in one of our enrichment programs, we could potentially help the student create a new enrichment program, or our faculty members can offer persistent guidance on how the student can effectively and meaningfully pursue this activity outside of the classroom.
